Barcelona Seafood Expo Global: successful attendance, good business prospects

The 2023 edition of the Barcelona Seafood Expo Global was held from April 24th to 27th and occupied 49,500 square meters of exhibition space, an increase of 24% over last year and 21% more than the 2019 edition in Brussels, Belgium, the previous location of the fair.

With this expansion, the event could host 2,078 exhibiting companies from 87 countries, including 847 that debuted at this edition. The exhibition also featured 68 national and regional pavilions, showcasing unique seafood offerings and specialities worldwide.

The event drew a total of 33,000 attendees, which is an impressive turnout and further underscores the importance of the event as a critical forum for the seafood industry to showcase its products, innovations, and sustainable practices to a global audience.

Our stand at the fair, almost 300m2, was bustling. We presented the main products of each of our companies. The different commercial teams have been very busy during the three days, and the Chefs Javier Andrade and Snorri have not stopped serving delicious specialities with our products.

On the 27th, the stand also hosted a lunch for a significant representation of the Icelandic fishing industry that had participated in a meeting with the Minister of Fisheries.

We would like to thank our friends, customers and suppliers who have made Barcelona Seafood Expo Global one of the most successful, busy and fun fairs in recent years.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
